Geolocation Games Performance on Android in Costa Rica: Q2 2025

In the second quarter of 2025, the geolocation games category on the Android platform in Costa Rica showcased varied performance trends, with data insights provided by Sensor Tower.

Pokémon GO from Niantic, Inc. experienced a significant boost in weekly downloads and revenue towards the end of the quarter. Downloads soared to 3.8K in the week of June 23, while revenue reached a peak of about $5.2K in the same period. The game also saw a steady increase in weekly active users, climbing from 9.8K at the start of the quarter to over 12.5K by the end.

Tamadog - Puppy Pet Dog Games by Appsyoulove saw a decline in both weekly downloads and revenue. Downloads fell from 808 to just over 113 by the end of June, while revenue decreased from $243 to $100. Active users also saw a decrease, dropping from 1.1K to around 509 over the quarter.

Jurassic World Alive from Ludia Inc. displayed fluctuating trends. Weekly downloads and active users saw a spike mid-quarter, with downloads peaking at 514 and active users at 1.2K in the week of May 26. Revenue remained relatively stable, averaging around $100, with small variations throughout the quarter.

Stepbots Sandbox Playground 2 by PSV Apps&Games maintained steady weekly downloads, peaking at 134 in the last week of June. Active users showed a mild upward trend, reaching 939 by the quarter's end.

Cat's Mischief: Fur and Fun from Lemon Global had a modest presence with downloads starting at 162 and slightly decreasing to 69 over the month of April.
